Light

•The RI.Perspective
For Fulvia Bernacca, visual artist, photographer and yoga facilitator, caring for oneself means learning to recognise one’s needs while allowing room for imperfection. Her project Carecose brings together artistic exploration, the body and relationships. “Light Retreat” grew out of this approach and is co-led with naturopath Viviana Cammarano. The three-day retreat takes place at Casa Jesabel, in the countryside near Scopello, Sicily.

Rocket and Yin Yoga practices alternate dynamic sessions with slower ones, in tune with the rhythm of autumn.
In the cyanotype workshop led by Fulvia, sunlight is used in a photographic contact-printing technique that produces images in a rich blue. Working with natural elements and different papers, participants explore a process that calls for patience and whose outcome can be surprising.

Viviana brings an emphasis on seasonality, ingredients and nutritional balance to the kitchen, preparing vegetarian and vegan meals. The shared table becomes an opportunity to reflect on how we eat and the pleasure of doing so in company.

The experience is an invitation to allow oneself time to create without demanding a perfect result, and to approach everyday food with greater consideration.
