The Way of Alchemy
•The RI.Perspective
The Way of Alchemy arises from two complementary lines of research: that of Sarah Wu, teacher of regenerative herbal medicine and a clinical herbalist with experience in permaculture, whose work weaves together medicinal plants, Tarot symbolism and evolutionary astrology; and that of Emilia Cianci, co-founder of Elaya, teacher, guide, ritualist who focuses on the feminine traditions of alchemy, inner transformation, divination rites of passage and the study of stars, astrology.
The experience takes place at Elaya, in Apulia: a seventeenth-century sanctuary-home and, at the same time, a project of territorial regeneration, oriented toward biodiversity, stewardship of the terrain and a connection with the surrounding landscape. Around it, among centuries-old olive trees, figs and pomegranates, there is also a garden of medicinal herbs used during the retreat. The days alternate direct contact with the soil, plant gathering, alembic distillation, preparation of remedies and blends, somatic work, rituals, herbal baths.
The intention is to restore the relationship between the self, the earth and the cosmos through the plant world and meditation, understood as methods of care and inner change. No prior knowledge is required: the retreat is intended for those who wish to approach astro-herbalism and become more familiar with natural cycles through experiential, symbolic and embodied practice.
