Longevity Week

•The RI.Perspective
At Soho Farmhouse Ibiza, Soho Health Club dedicates a week to longevity, with an emphasis on quality of life and an idea of wellbeing in which physical and mental health, pleasure and social connection are closely intertwined. Built on the five pillars of nutrition, movement, recovery, unwinding and community, the experience brings together doctors, nutritionists and instructors.

Dr Vasuki Uthayakumar speaks on biomarkers, sleep and cognitive function, and conducts workshops on cold, heat and the nervous system. Alongside her, Caroline Redmond explores the interplay between food, hormones and the gut, as well as the use of supplements. Gemma Ogston covers functional mushrooms, while Dr James Bielenstein addresses metabolism, focusing on the role of muscle and the distribution of body fat. Rick Parcell works on bodyweight exercises and Charlotte Townend, founder of Wylder, teaches Vinyasa Yoga. Pilates and strength training are paired with breathwork and injury prevention classes.

The Farmhouse that hosts the retreat sits within an olive grove in Santa Gertrudis, in the island’s interior. In the Chillout Garden, a walking meditation path leads to a corner set aside for breath, sound and reflection. The final day includes a group run, talks on purpose and the value of relationships, and time at sunset in the Lazy Forest’s contrast suite and onsen.

The aim is to offer a vision of healthy ageing that can guide everyday choices, through morning routines, practices tried during the week and advice on nutrition and rest.
