Nourishment Retreat grows from the vision of chef Imre Csendes, founder of Planet Based Kitchen, for whom cooking is a way to develop a more conscious relationship with food, the body and creativity, starting from simple gestures.
At Kyanos Villas, on the island of Zakynthos, the days begin with Body Flow, a combination of movement, awareness exercises and perceptual work that prepares the senses for practice in the kitchen. Alongside this, participants are introduced to self-massage techniques, muscle relaxation and stretching.
From here, the work on food and balanced cooking takes shape: fermentations, sourdough, gluten-free bread, plant-based cheeses, sensory tastings, silent cooking and the development of personal recipes become opportunities to explore a more intuitive approach to food.
The Mediterranean setting sustains an unhurried pace, leaving room for rest, the sea and free time between sessions. Across these days, participants take away concrete tools to continue using after the retreat.
