Marine Workshop

•The RI.Perspective
Marine Workshop is a one-week residential retreat on Elba Island, shaped by the work of Eleonora Parrello and SomArt and built around the encounter between somatic practice and the marine environment.
At its foundation is Body-Mind Centering®, an approach that moves through the senses and perception, interwoven with gentle apnea, coastal swimming and the discovery of the Mediterranean ecosystem. The sea is approached as a place to be listened to, where immersion opens a process of trust and the ability to let go without forcing. Movement changes form, the breath slows down, the body becomes more fluid, and the water receives.
In the passage between land and immersion, between dynamism and stillness, the retreat follows the rhythm of the group and the currents, while swimming freely through silence, seabeds and light becomes a kind of meditation.
Guiding the retreat is a group of professionals from different backgrounds, brought together by a shared research: Eleonora Parrello, Body-Mind Centering® teacher and practitioner, movement artist, freediving instructor, in collaboration with Carla Marazzato, freediver, dancer and artistic director of CTR in Venice; and Andromeda De Gioia, marine biologist, scuba diving master and Reef Check trainer.
An invitation for those drawn to the sea, movement and exploration, to recover a more essential form of presence.
