La Dolce Vita

•The RI.Perspective
La Dolce Vita grows out of the meeting between Tiffany Mullen, a functional medicine physician and founder of Vytal Health, and Tami Hans, a yoga teacher. The retreat is intended for women at different stages of life and begins with a view of women’s health in which hormones, the nervous system, sleep, nutrition and personal history are considered interdependent. The evening sessions explore these themes through in-depth discussion and exchange, while a genomic test and an individual review of the results provide elements for understanding one’s condition more precisely.
Alongside this process of understanding, the mornings are dedicated to practice. Through yoga classes that are also accessible to those without previous experience, Tami combines gentle movement, breathing and meditation, prioritising presence over performance and encouraging closer attention to the body. Guided writing sessions and activities in the surrounding area alternate with this work: from truffle hunting and Italian cooking to a visit to a female-run vineyard and a day divided between a hilltop village and the Adriatic Sea.
The experience takes place in the hills of the Marche at Tenuta Oliveto, among vineyards and olive groves, where indoor and outdoor spaces dedicated to movement and rest welcome a group of women from different generations.
It is from everything that happens over the course of the week, the test data, the daily work with the body and the exchange between participants, that a personal plan begins to take shape, to be continued after returning home, giving each woman a fuller picture of her health by bringing biological information into relation with the needs that have emerged.
