A Sensory Reconnection

•The RI.Perspective
A Sensory Reconnection takes place in Pelion, a region of Greece where the mountains descend toward the Aegean Sea, and emerges from the vision of Fiona Baqai and Alexandria Roby, co-founders of Embodied Elements.
Fiona, a ceremonialist and teacher of yoga, meditation, breathwork and sound-based practices, develops an approach centred on breath, vibration and resonance as ways to support embodied awareness and presence. Alexandria, a ceramic artist, brings a material-based practice shaped by ceramics, dance and yoga: direct contact with clay becomes a way to observe processes of transformation, both in matter and within oneself.
Together, they shape a programme oriented towards recovering a more sensory relationship with the body through the theme of the five elements,  water, earth, air, fire and aether.
Between trails, sea and small villages, food is approached with the same care, using ingredients sourced from local producers and from the permaculture garden at Pelion Homes.
From this experience, participants return with their own ceramic pieces and a clearer sense of where they stand.
Embodied Elements is a project by Soundflower LLC.
