Remember

The RI.Perspective
Remember grows out of Apolline’s work: for over twenty years, she has considered horses her main teachers. She lives with a herd of three rescued horses, who are part of the experience as free beings, always able to approach or move away. This is a non-riding retreat: everything is built around ground-based encounters, observation and the relationship with the animals, within an approach grounded in mutual listening and the conviction that nothing real can be forced.
The retreat takes place in Santa Teresa, in a setting shaped by vegetation and the ocean, where the days begin with somatic practices, gentle yoga and care for the body, before continuing with guided encounters with the horses. In the afternoon, writing, creative expression, voice work and sharing circles unfold in their presence. One evening is dedicated to a sound session under the stars; two cacao ceremonies mark arrival and departure.
The last day is spent on the beach with the herd, including a swim in the sea and a picnic. It is here that the meaning of these days becomes concrete: learning to relate without imposing a direction, recognising one’s own rhythms and boundaries more clearly. The horses make this clear within seconds; taking it beyond the retreat is the work that begins afterwards.
