Bliss
•The RI.Perspective
Maija, a Pilates teacher with an international background spanning Sri Lanka, India and Switzerland, defines bliss as a state in which negative thoughts cease to weigh on you. She finds it in the precision of movement, in listening to the body, in alignment and breath. This is the idea around which the retreat takes shape: moving with greater clarity, fluidity and less effort.
The programme moves from the morning session, dedicated to awakening and core connection, to a more dynamic practice in the afternoon, exploring strength, coordination and endurance. Alongside this, a ceramics workshop: like Pilates, working with clay demands patience, continuity and focus.
The retreat takes place at Mas d’Yvette, a restored 19th-century village house near Nîmes, in the South of France. A setting that makes room for both individual space and conviviality, between sessions, group life and time to oneself.
